About me

Hi! I'm a software developer with a passion for collaborating with others and crafting creative solutions. My journey into software development began with a diverse background in film/commercial production, content creation, cannabis, and hemp industries.

Working alongside startups, creatives, and entrepreneurs ignited my interest in coding and led me to Turing School of Software & Design, where I focused on back-end engineering, honing my skills in Ruby on Rails software development.

My previous careers have equipped me with the ability to work collaboratively and think creatively. Now, as a software developer, I'm excited to combine these skills with my coding expertise. I also aspire to use tech to help the people & industries I've been a part of in the past and those I hope to work with in the future.

Let's connect and collaborate to make a meaningful impact on the world. Feel free to reach out, and let's explore how we can innovate together!

CivicVoicePlus ("CV+") is a civic data app that informs users with relevant legislative information that I created with a team of 3 other developers. During this 2 week stretch project we prioritized project design, organization, and communication between our front end and back end teams. This was the first project where we were introduced to agile processes and creating proper documentation, like a JSON contract. My primary responsibilities on this project included exposing external Government API endpoints, building a backend API for the Front End to consume, and implementing caching of the API endpoint requests and storing data in the local database.

Munch Madness is an app that gamifies the process of deciding where to eat or order takeout that I pitched and created with a team of 6 other developers. During this 10 day stretch project we prioritized organization and learning how to manage agile processes as a full stack team. My primary responsibilities on this project included exposing GoogleMaps API endpoints, creating an API JSON contract, and building a backend API for the front end client to consume. I also helped my team in converting our app to a Progressive Web App as part of our stretch tech requirement.
