About me
My professional journey has always been guided by a passion for problem-solving and process enhancement. This drive led to a pivotal moment during my tenure in a proposal and marketing role at a civil engineering firm, where I identified a gap in utilizing past project insights for new proposals. Addressing this, I created a 'project' database in MS Access, streamlining the process for engineers and setting the stage for my transition into software development.
The transformative experience at the Turing School of Software and Design marks a significant milestone in this journey. Here, I am acquiring skills in JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and React. This intensive bootcamp is not only refining my technical abilities but also instilling in me the best practices of software development. It’s sharpening my creative problem-solving skills, teamwork abilities, and meticulous attention to detail, aligning perfectly with the demands of a Junior Associate role in software development.
My aim is to merge the skills honed in my previous roles with the cutting-edge knowledge gained at Turing. This alignment of my passions with my career aspirations positions me for unlocking remarkable growth opportunities in the tech industry.

Study Haul is a React Application that retrieves data from a custom API, built as part of a Stretch Tech project in module 3 of the Front End program at the Turing School of Software and Design. The API was created using Express, Knex, and PostgreSQL and was seeded with interview questions that were created from class audits in modules 2 and 3 of the Front End program. When the page loads, users are presented with a home screen that lists all questions available in the database. Users can then sort the questions by module 2 or module 3. To answer a question, the user selects the question and the selected question screen in loaded. The user is then able to enter their answer and check it against the correct answer.
