About me
Over the past 8 years, I have built a successful career in the beer sales industry, working diligently at both the Coors Distribution Company and Station 26 Brewery. During my time in this field, I honed my interpersonal and negotiation skills, while also gaining valuable insights into customer preferences and market trends. Despite my achievements in beer sales, I decided to embark on a new journey and I am currently a dedicated student at Turing School of Software and Design, where I am passionately focused on mastering Ruby, Rails, and object-oriented programming. My experience in sales has equipped me with tenacity, adaptability, and a customer-centric approach, which I believe will be assets in my transition to the field of web development. I am incredibly excited about this career change and eager to contribute my skills and creativity to the dynamic world of web development.

At Everuse, we collaborate with gyms, retailers, and manufacturers in the climbing industry to transform used climbing ropes into premium, eco-friendly products. Our mission is twofold: to reduce waste and extend the lifespan of climbing ropes, while also minimizing the ecological footprint of the climbing industry. By offering sustainable solutions, we aspire to become the preferred brand for climbers who are deeply committed to their sport and the environment. Additionally, we are dedicated to forging partnerships and providing financial support to organizations that are actively engaged in preserving access, restoring climbing areas, and enhancing safety in the climbing community. Behind the scenes, our backend application operates as an API built using the robust Rails framework and a PostgreSQL database. This API features a single endpoint powered by GraphQL (/graphql), responsible for handling incoming requests, querying our internal database, and delivering formatted JSON responses to the frontend application.

Tools Used
Jana Social is a dedicated application designed to support caregivers of adults with disabilities. It serves as a platform where caregivers can foster connections with their peers, exchange inspirational stories, and discover local events tailored to their needs. Jana Social is the nurturing heart of a compassionate community, providing caregivers the support they need. Within Jana Social, users have the power to create or join events, seamlessly connect with other users, and expand their circle of friends. This project took shape over the course of an intensive 12-day development period. Our dynamic project comprised three focused teams: Users, Events, and Location/Friends. Each of these teams was further divided into backend and frontend units. The backend teams diligently crafted robust API endpoints, while the frontend teams worked tirelessly to create an intuitive and visually pleasing user interface.
