About me

I've always been a language learner and explorer. I studied German, French, and Chinese at school, and traveled the world afterward, teaching English abroad and German back in the US. Now I'm learning codespeak and exploring the world of software development. I'm excited to become a part of a better future by building human-centered AI. Times are changing faster than ever, and I want to help build out those changes in a positive way.

This project leverages the creative capabilities of ChatGPT and Midjourney image generation to imagine endless varieties of worlds, complete with self-consistent characters, locations, and events. I pitched this as a capstone project, and led the backend team to wrangle data from the AI APIs into our PostgreSQL database and serve it to the frontend team, whose awesome live app you can see at the link below.

JukeGenie allows users to create collaborative Spotify playlists they can share with their friends at a party. The playlists are generated based on user suggestions for artists, tracks, and genres. I worked on the backend to manage our database of user playlists and suggestions, which we used in our calls to the Spotify API to generate the actual playlists.
