About me
Former educator turned back-end software developer specializing in Ruby on Rails. Born and raised in South America, I speak three languages and have worked in multiple countries. Past experiences have helped me cultivate my passion for problem-solving, critical thinking, and continuous learning. My background in teaching has helped me develop strong communication and interpersonal skills. In addition, as a teacher, I think about how people of all abilities will use the software. While teaching I have seen the disconnect between technology and teaching. Knowing that technology will shape the future of many professions around the world, I realized this disconnect will draw an even thicker line of disparity in the future of our kids. This realization made me want to pursue software development to one day explore the possibilities of expanding equal access for kids to new innovations and technologies.
