About me
Right out of college, I jumped into the mortgage world! Where I excelled as a loan processor by being an excellent coordinator and problem solver. As I climbed into a production role, I honed in own my ability to read and implement new loan products and client-specific communication.
The mortgage world taught me how to breakdown and simplify complex problems, implement a solution, manage a production pipeline, but more importantly how to help people.
Although the mortgage industry was good to me in a lot of ways, the rigorous on-call schedule of being a loan officer did not align with my personal goals.
I knew that I accomplish my best work in a challenging environment, and I still wanted to help people.
So I adventured into software development, where I get to use problem-solving and critical thinking to build and optimize solutions. Collaborating with a team to design and complete and finished project with different integrations.
And it was a great decision!
I'm thrilled about the opportunity to embark on this new career path, where I can put my honed skills to use, engage in collaborative problem-solving, and continue to fulfill what I hold most dear - making a positive impact on people's lives.

Welcome!
At Zero Waste Kitchen we're here to combat the growing problem of food waste in the United States. American households generate an estimated 42 billion pounds of food waste each year. This is enough food to feed 21 million people each year.
The consequences of this waste not only has a direct impact on people but far reaching effects for the planet. 96% of this waste ends up in the landfill - resulting in roughly 12 Million Tons of CO2 emissions. That amount of emissions is equivalent to powering 1.5 million homes for a year, or driving a car 2.6 million miles.
Our app is aimed at helping people eliminate food waste in their homes by providing recipes based on ingredients that will soon spoil and contribute to food waste. We hope to inspire users to waste less, save more and have an increased awareness around their personal impact and ability to contribute by having a Zero Waste Kitchen.
