About me
My name is Sam and I am currently a student of the Back End Engineering and Software Development program at the Turing School of Software and Design (expected graduation June 2023) as well as a small business owner. As a small business owner I have had the experience of a lifetime and I consider the experience invaluable. During my time as a small business owner I have developed a greater love for technology that has driven me to pursue a career in software development.
Ultimately in this life I'd love to impact the world in any capacity that makes a difference in people's lives on a local or larger scale. With the Escape Room I have been able to create something that leaves a smile on people's faces and contributes a fun and enriching activity for my community, it's families, and it's organizations. With the next step in my career into the tech world, I'd love to do something similar. Whether it's making someone's life a little easier, informing them of needed information, or even just allowing them to find a little enjoyment in technology.
Throughout my work experience I've gained skills in many areas. From my first serious job as a Project Manager at a small digital marketing firm, to my not as serious jobs in the Ski and Liquor industries, to my most recent experience as a co-owner/operator of an Escape Room, I have done many things that have allowed me to learn and grow as a person. I consider all of my experiences important to my growth and I am excited to take everything I've learned and transfer them to the software development world where I hope to contribute in an productive and important way to any team I may find myself a part of.
