About me

I’m a Back End Engineer specializing in Ruby on Rails and Java. I’m looking for career opportunities in the tech industry. I’ve worked across multiple industries, including music, service, and food, and am highly sociable and eager to contribute to group efforts. I honed my communications and sales skills as a server at Chuy’s, averaging a grand in liquor and food sales each night I worked. Most recently, I attended Turing School of Software and Design and received their Certificate in Backend Engineering. During my time at Turing I developed over 16 applications in Ruby and Ruby on Rails, learning how to develop both alone and in teams over one to two week sprints. I’ve accrued over 1000 hours of experience in the Ruby on Rails framework, and have experience developing in other languages like Java, JavaScript, MATLAB, and C#.

The app offers different categories of sounds such as animals, musical instruments, machines, & miscellaneous. A user then has the option to select a difficulty which determines how many times a sound can be replayed before a guess must be submit.
