Love Fern is an app that was created with Ruby on Rails by myself, Anthony Ongaro, Brady Rhorig, Drew Layton, J Seymore and Samuel Cox and it helps track the status of your relationships with co-workers and loved ones alike. In this app we pushed ourselves to leverage the Google Sentiment Analytics API to analyze messages between you and those close to you to see whether you are having positive or negative interactions with that person. Based on those interactions, you will be able to see the visible health of your fern. One big goal we had as Back End developers was to make it as user friendly as possible as we had previously in other projects just focused on "Does it work." Give it a look!

Outgrown is an app that was created by myself, Andrew Cerveny, Brandon Gray, Derek Yeh, Ian Nordby, Max Lange, and William Lampke That will allow parents of children to sell their kids old "outgrown" clothing and purchase other articles of clothing from other parents for cheaper than buying it new. We built our own API for this app, and implemented a service oriented architecture to achieve our goals. We wanted this app to be as smooth as possible for parents to easily find clothing that they want for their kids, and to easily sell their old clothing to knock off even more of the finacial burden it is to keep an ever-growing child clothed. The big goal of this project was to implement Graphql on the BE and FE to effectively communicate with each other. Come on down and give it a look!

Viewing Party is an app completed by myself and Anthony Ongaro that utilizes Ruby on Rails that allows users to search for and find movies they would like to view with their friends. The goal was to consume the moviedb API and expose the necessary information in order for user to create viewing parties with other existing users. The biggest challenge we faced came when trying to figure exactly who was the host of each party when displaying parties that the user was either hosting, or being invited to. Once we solved that, we really focused on cleaning up our service/facade/poro files in order to really demonstrate our understanding of convention regarding API consumption and exposure.
