About me

In high school, I tried out for the gymnastics team even though I had no experience as a gymnast. This fearless, unconventional approach has become a hallmark of my journey, whether in athletics or my career. Fast forward to today, I’ve transitioned from risk management consulting into software engineering with no prior coding background, applying the same bold mindset to navigate new challenges. After 7 months at Turing School of Software & Design, I now create empathetic applications as a front-end software engineer.

I’m an inquisitive individual who loves research and problem-solving. This curiosity fuels my passion for continuous growth and learning. As a project manager and consultant, I enjoyed serving as a trusted advisor to clients and gained immense satisfaction from helping them address real-world challenges. As a Software Engineer, I contribute my project management skills to streamline processes and focus on efficiently delivering minimum viable products (MVPs) with clear code.

My Technical Expertise includes front-end experience in JavaScript, React, Typescript, HTML, and CSS. I also have experience with Cypress, Mocha, Chai, Git, GitHub, and responsive design principles.

In my free time you might find me: hiking, riding my Peloton, reading, planning my next trip, horseback riding, or watching soccer.

I am excited about using my technical skills to affect change, and would love a software engineering role that offers a platform for direct impact. Secondly, I am searching for a culture that encourages professional growth through mentorship, paired programming, hackathons/coding competitions, and internal knowledge sharing.

Please connect with me to discuss apprenticeship, internship, or full-time software engineering roles that align with the above! Or, we can chat about your next trip, a book you’re reading, or your favorite soccer team.
