About me
Frontend Developer with a diverse background spanning Nonprofit Volunteer Coordination/ Community Outreach, and a half decade in Luxury Hotel Hospitality. My experience in Nonprofit Voter Engagement honed my project management and leadership skills, while my hospitality career instilled meticulous preparation, organization, and the ability to work effectively across all levels.
As a Frontend Developer, I focus on creating intuitive, user-friendly interfaces that optimize user experience, efficiency, and accessibility. This aligns with my prior roles' emphasis on understanding people and adding value to their lives through their user experiences with our organizations.
I'm seeking to join a mission-driven team that values collaboration and professional growth, where I can apply my skills to build impactful real-world solutions.
My toolkit includes React, JavaScript, HTML, CSS, and Cypress testing, and I'm continually expanding my skills with technologies like React Native, Swift, and Jest through ongoing projects.

Let's Gogh!
Let's Gogh!
Tools Used
"Let's Gogh” is a solo project built using React, HTML6, CSS, and JavaScript. The app connects users to museum exhibitions from the Art Institute of Chicago API, allowing them to search, explore, and save favorites. The main learning goals included managing multiple API requests with React Hooks to fetch exhibition data and images efficiently. A key challenge was mapping through a series of promises to handle dynamic exhibition and image data with Promise.all(), a technique I navigating the complexities of the AIC API. My focus was on creating a user-friendly interface with intuitive navigation while improving performance over time. Future goals include exploring React Native, implementing pagination for better performance, and adding authentication features.

Tools Used
“Rancid Tomatillos” is a paired project built using React, HTML6, CSS, JavaScript, and Cypress. The app displays movie posters, allowing users to filter by name or genre, view detailed information, and watch trailers directly within the page. A key learning goal was applying accessibility principles such as semantic HTML, proper color contrast, and ARIA attributes to ensure usability for all users. We achieved smooth trailer integration and filtering, providing a seamless user experience. My specific focus was on component flow, collaborating with my partner through paired programming, code reviews, and daily stand-ups to ensure progress and alignment throughout development.
