About me
My name is Ian Lyell, I grew up in New Orleans, Louisiana. I choose software development because of my love of video games. I have great memories of modding Halo CE on my parents computer as a kid so that drew me to the field. Aside from video games I also have a large design and engineering background from being a high end cabinet builder to my hobby of restoring 80s Japanese cars. This has led me to really enjoy the problem solving process and this interest led me to becoming a software developer.
I have worked in many varied industry's trying to find a career from package delivery to culinary arts. In all the fields I have been in I have never felt adequately valued for the work and effort I put into things which is what made me what to become a software developer.
I'm hoping to be able to get into a field where I will be able to learn something everyday and be able to work in the creation of larger projects.
