About me

Hey, I'm Dani! After 11 years in data entry and bookkeeping roles, I decided it was time to challenge myself and take the leap into back-end software engineering. I'm looking forward to bringing all the important aspects of my previous career, such as attention to detail, problem-solving, and an enthusiasm for numbers and data, as well as my inherent creativity, into a career in the tech world.

OnTrack is a web application to help users improve productivity as well as mental health.

The application is designed for users who have executive dysfunction or related disorders which often have symptoms such as easily overwhelmed, forgetfulness, and difficulty making decisions. Such symptoms also often lead to low self esteem and depression, due to difficulty maintaining relationships and a healthy lifestyle.

Registered users have the ability to input items on their to-do list. In addition to standard chores, users can put in restful "tasks" and tasks related to personal hobbies.

Users are prompted to complete one task at a time. This helps avoid decision paralysis by letting the app tell the user what to do next, and reduces overwhelming feelings caused by seeing a long list.

This application is designed for those who enjoy standard escape rooms, as well as those who appreciate puzzle and problem-solving games.

After being debriefed on the current mission, users have the option to either team up with others or embark on a solo adventure in EscapeLink. Once every team member is prepared to start the game, they are taken into the escape room, where they are presented with an intuitive and user-friendly interface that contains a handful of hidden puzzles.
