About me

After nearly two decades working in mortgage servicing, I took the plunge and pivoted to software engineering. My passion to understand and solve problems is only equaled by my desire to collaborate and solve them as a team. I am ready to show how the experience and leadership abilities I've acquired over the last 17 years, along with my newfound coding skills, can help create software that meets the needs of an organization and their stakeholders.

The Menuify app allows restaurant owners to easily create mobile-friendly restaurant menus so diners can enjoy the best possible experience. This group project was completed in 2 1/2 weeks at the Turing School of Software and Design. Front- and Back-end teams collaborated on the design, development, and deployment processes throughout the course of the project.

Restaurant owners can easily add or delete menus and individual menu items. Images can be added by url, or by searching a collection of images sourced from the Unsplash Photo API.

Diners can readily find their desired menu with full-color images, descriptions, and prices. By placing QR codes on the tables, customers need only use their mobile device to access the user-friendly, aesthetically pleasing menu.

Bīk-n-Brü is designed to encourage people to ride their bikes to bars and decrease their carbon footprint by gamifying the exercise/bar experience! Users sign into Strava utilizing OAuth to log their trip, and Bīk-n-Brü aggregates data from three distinct APIs to provide the user with calories burned, gas money saved, and their carbon footprint offset in pounds. The app also calculates the number of beers the user can enjoy based on their burned calories and the type of beer they wish to drink.
