About me

I am deeply passionate about seeing the tangible results of my work and will persevere through the doubt of others, as well as doubt in myself. I consistently seek ways to enhance efficiency and effectiveness in any task. In every aspect of my life, I believe there is always space for improvement and optimization.

As a junior software developer I am constantly amazed at what simple, clean lines of code can achieve. The chance to refactor, consolidate, and ensure everything follows the SRP and the Four Pillars of OOP is remarkable!

Professionally, I've honed my skills in quality control, document management, inventory and data management, and team leadership. Leadership roles came naturally, but also reluctantly. I prefer to work alongside others toward a common goal in a servant leadership capacity, than to be "in-charge" of anyone.

Beyond my professional life, I have an eclectic array of interests that further my skills and knowledge. My curiosity drives me to constantly engage with my surroundings and embrace learning opportunities. This innate curiosity has enriched my skill set and provided invaluable experiences.

This product aims to help users keep track of their animals and shelters on their homestead. Shelters are used to contain a group of animals. Users can manage their homestead by creating, editing, and deleting shelters and animals. They can track details such as animal's name, birthday, and color. Animal pages also include facts and stats based on the animal's species, which is fed by live data from the Animals API by api-ninjas.

This project required us to create a functional game of "Connect 4" playable in the terminal. It was one of the earliest projects and the first time working without an interaction pattern.

Though the repo violates most every standard we would later learn (DRY, Metz' Rules, etc.), we ended up with a fully functional game and still managed to fit in a bit of flair.

What set this project apart from others was the collaboration aspect. Our passion, excitement, and dynamic were completely unmatched from any other project before and since. We did not shy away from learning new methods (e.g. matrixes) and our goals were reaching for the moon.

We laughed, we struggled, and we learned. We shared in our successes and carried each other through our failures.
