About me
Hello hello!
I'm Arden from Seattle, Washington. Growing up in the picturesque Pacific Northwest has helped me cultivate a passion for natural resource conservation, a curiosity for technology, and an appreciation for cultural diversity.
My prior roles in customer service and office administration have exposed me to a wide web of people from all walks of life, which honed my interpersonal skills and creative problem solving abilities. While I appreciate all that those roles gave me, I am ready to embark on a more technically-focused career path.
As a developer, I hope to pursue projects that allow me to develop new skills while also expanding my network and interests. I would love to tackle new challenges in industries like water management, forestry, and public services. Primarily, I am most interested in UX/UI design, accessibility, and user testing. Making environmental tools and resources more approachable and accessible to the general public is key to getting people involved with and interested in preserving our shared natural world.

This application is a Dungeons and Dragons Encounter Builder, with the intended user being a Dungeon Master. It allows the user to fill out a form to add encounter details including encounter name, party size, party level, summary, description, treasure & rewards, and monsters. Monsters from the D&D 5e compendium can be filtered and added based on size, name, hit points, and armor class attributes. Users can also see previews of the encounters they've built and click on the preview to view the full details of the corresponding encounter.
The project was created as part of our Mod 4 Capstone in conjunction with a back-end team, with GraphQL as the stretch tech for both front- and back-end.

This project was a two-week sprint in Mod 3 to create an application that enables users to view randomly displayed controversies from Wikipedia, as well as log in with Auth0 user authentication to be able to search for and save new controversies.
It was completed by a team of 4 front-end students with user authentication as our stretch tech.
