About me
"The Only person you are destined to become is the person you decide to be." - Ralph Waldo Emerson
I've spent all of my 20's working in a restaurants, starting small and eventually climbing to management. During this decade I gained appreciation for teamwork, communication and dedication. I still was left with a feeling like I was worth more then this life and lifestyle.
Thinking of the quote by Mr. Emerson, I didn't want to settle for a life in the service industry. I chose to sacrifice time and financial security to develop and decide who I want to end up being, a software engineer.I continue to be excitedly intrigued at the complexity and depth of the tech industry.
I learned how to crawl while being at Turing and will continue to walk the developer pathway until I can run with an amazing company! I look forward to meeting potential employers!

Back-end portion of a Service Oriented Architecture application to search for cuisines by country, and provide opportunity to learn more about that countries culture. This app will allow users to search for recipes by country, favorite recipes, and learn more about a particular country.
Achieving and completing this project was a journey of struggle, research, and learning. Becoming more comfortable and consuming and exposing API endpoints in this project was a great success. With many companies utilizing this method of receiving and sending data, I look forward to potentially working with them in the future!
