About me

Whether managing coffee shops or working as an actor in the theatre, my career path has consistently been defined by my passion and skill for working with people. I have found my greatest fulfillment in:

  • Fostering connections and community through excellent experiences
  • Anticipating and meeting people's needs through thoughtful planning and organization
  • Creating organized, efficient, and user-friendly systems in service of their users

Now as the struggles from the pandemic have inspired me to look to a new industry, I am excited to find one where I can continue to apply these passions in working with a like-minded team towards the familiar goal of creating an excellent user-experience.

I am currently based in Denver, Colorado, but am interested in relocating abroad to join a company whose values align with my own. If your organization is looking to hire a team-oriented, user-focused software engineer with an eye for systems and efficiency, please contact me via LinkedIn or email.

Tired of never being able to keep track of how much water 🚰 you've consumed, or how many steps πŸšΆπŸΏβ€β™€οΈ you've taken? Always wondered how many hours you've slept 😴 this week? FitLit is here to help!

FitLit is an activity-tracking app that compiles and displays a user's data, including hydration, sleep, and daily step goal. It was built using a previously-supplied data set with architectural and functionality requirements set by Turing School of Software and Design, following the principals of Test Driven Development and Object Oriented Programming.

For those days when too many video games have been played, or those afternoons when you don't know what to do with your free time, SideQuest is here to provide you with immediate activity suggestions in a familiar and nostalgic user interface that will get you up and occupied. If the suggested activity is not within your wheelhouse, you can opt to receive a new suggestion, or, once your quest has been completed, add it to your list of conquered quests to keep track of your activity. Users may also change the interface environment from a quaint meadow setting, to a haunted forest, or a grand castle to match the setting they feel most inspired by.

Adventure awaits, but the lists keep on growing,
So we invented this app to help track where you're going!
There are spots that will show all the places you've been,
all the places to come, and how much you've spent.
Once you're ready to start on a brand new adventure,
There's a form to submit and a cost that will render.
So don't hesitate, there's a whole world to know!
(Just please don't forget to keep track 'fore you go).

This project was assigned as the final solo project for Mod 2 (our second quarter of the program at Turing) -- approximately three months into my coding career.
