About me

A lifelong learner and organizer, I've spent much of my adult life building political campaigns from scratch and running them to success. I'm looking to add more intellectually challenging work and continue to use the skills I've built in cooperative work and coalition building to add genuine benefit to the lives of others.

Flakes of wrath is a group project I worked on with classmates during our penultimate inning at Turing. We realized there was no current option for avalanche prediction, even at a very basic level, which meant predicting avalanche danger for a future trip required a lot of calculation and research for anyone interested.

Our solution was to build an SOA-style app with full user login functionality to offer not only avalanche predictions but full trip planning, with additional services coming soon. The project utilizes google oath and includes a proprietary avalanche prediction model.

An app that allows you to plan movie watching parties through consumption of the moviedb api. Viewing party was a collaborative effort between a classmate and I to explore API consumption in rails, and was our first attempt at doing so. We utilized a service oriented architecture, test driven development, and RESTful routing to build an easily maintainable and scalable codebase with plenty of opportunity for future feature additions.
