Hello friend! I just graduated from Turing School of Software and Design with a focus in Front-End development. Prior to studying at Turing I worked in health care and in oil and energy. These busy environments taught me how to quickly adapt and communicate on different teams. Eventually I realized that I would rather apply my intellect to the world of software development. This new trajectory has been immensely rewarding and I look forward to broadening and sharpening my skill set in the future.

Reflections: HeatCheck was a capstone project made by a team of front-end and back-end students. This was an awesome experience where we collaborated in an agile environment to reach our MVP. Learning how to implement GraphQL and continuous integration was a challenge but I learned so much and am happy to have these technologies under my belt.

Reflections: This was a solo project built with React and TypeScript, and tested with Cypress. I enjoyed the process of using these technologies I have recently learned to build something I am proud of. TypeScript was the most challenging at times, but I have learned first hand how its typing can prevent bugs and save time.
