About me

My previous experience was in education as a member of the communications department. I managed all sports communications for parents, staff and students. This job was fulfilling in many ways but after years in the field I felt like I was flat-lining. I really enjoyed the website management part of my job, that is how I got into back-end development.

As I have learned more about about object-oriented programing, I have learned a lot about learning. Back End Development isn't so much about knowing everything, but about being flexible and open to learning how to solve the problems that inevitably come up along the way. I am excited to continue a new journey among some of the worlds best problem-solvers and life-long learners

We have consumed the the MapQuest API for navigation instructions of the trip and to convert addresses to Lat/Long to then plug into the Weather.gov API for local weather data. This API was built to try and warn users of inclement weather as they continue their journey.
