About me
Being a software engineer highlights what I enjoy most about work and recreation. That is, I love overcoming challenges, collaborating, learning through struggle, enjoying success and repeating the cycle. For examples, I've been a member of LEAN initiative implementations, led business owners and participated in team sports. As a learner, I've secured a Certification as a Software Engineer, Property/Casualty Life & Health licenses, and FINRA registrations (6, 26, 63). So, whatever the next challenge is, I welcome it and the success it will lead to for me and my team!

This is a web application created to promote more responsible use of water resources and reduce the consumption of single use plastics. To accomplish this, the application socializes and tracks a user's daily water usage based on shower length and water flow rate. In addition it tracks the usage of plastic items such as bags, straws and bottles. It then provides averages for 7 and 30 days for the user while providing insights regarding the users trends and national averages. It also provides tips/recommendations to help improve the user consumption habits.

This Backend application was built to expose API endpoints which offer retrieval of weather, travel directions, user registration and login. It was built to meet the demands of our FrontEnd stakeholder's wireframe specifications, as well as for a broad base of FrontEnd API consumers. The features include providing valid driving directions, and error handling for edge cases, in addition it provides location based images for dynamic rendering. Consuming Mapquest's Geocoding and Directions APIs along with the pinpoint weather of OpenWeather's API, it then integrates Unsplash's extensive image API.
