Passionate about problem-solving. I love to break down a problem, understand it in parts, and make it better. I have a background in retail management and athletics coaching. I’ve enjoyed creating systems in my professional life that people interact with from breaking down a swim stroke to help my athletes improve, or removing obstacles to help employees reach their goals with greater ease. The fun is in designing the solution and continuously improving upon it. I hope to bring this same joy and creativity to my backend developer role. I'm looking forward to problem-solving with you.

Planning outdoor group adventures can be complicated. Gear UP gives you a platform to organize trips, gear, and who is responsible for bringing what. Our team worked in an agile environment to produce a web app that adheres to the principles of a Service-Oriented Architecture. The app implements OAuth flows and API consumption of weather and GPS data, as well as a robust testing suite utilizing VCR’s, WebMock, and RSpec Mocks.
