About me
Most of my career was spent in the Illinois Legislature as a communications specialist and Legislative Aide. My passion for software development came at a time when I realized that government can be so much more efficient and helpful to everyone. I'm a backend engineer that emphasizes on solving tricky problems and contributing as a team player.

Sweater Weather is a solo back-end project to plan road trips using Ruby on Rails. This app will allow users to see the current weather as well as the forecasted weather by exposing an API that aggregates data from multiple external APIs. I was able to implement authentication which was a stretch goal.

Tools Used
Little Esty Bulk Discounts is a group project consisting of five developers where we used Ruby on Rails -- the app is a fictitious e-commerce platform where both merchants and admins on the site can manage inventory and fulfill customer invoices. A major learning goal was to utilize advanced active record techniques to perform complex database queries. We completed our stretch goal of successfully consuming an external API. I focused mainly on the business intelligence and API consumption.
