I am a software developer excited to learn and work with other people to create and build upon projects. After working as a manager in food service I threw myself into my interest in technology with the aim of building a career where I could make a positive impact.
As a manager I learned the importance of building a clear understanding of expectations and fostering communication between team members. As a programmer I bring these skills with me, along with a desire to take a hands on approach to learning and desire to gain new skills, as I continue to foster relationships with my new team mates.

Built over two weeks as a full stack team, Head to Toe is an app designed to display queer-informed doctors and mental health professionals. It allows users to look through the list that is taken from the API built by members of the team. It also gives users the ability to suggest a medical professional by filling out the form.
Due to safety concerns the database of medical professionals has been dropped until more security can be put in place, and the team receives informed consent from each of the medical professionals.
Built with accessibility in mind, this app receives a 100% rating on lighthouse. It is end to end tested, uses global state management through contextAPI, and utilized continuous integration through CircleCI.
Space Truckers is a full stack app designed as a job board for "space truckers" in a Sci-fi universe to find and book jobs.
For this project my teammates and I decided to learn how to build a database on our own using PostgreSQL, Knex, and Express. We created a RESTful API and a React app to display and make calls on the API.
