About me

I've always been interested in learning how things work under the hood and building something I can share with others. A developer friend recommended I give coding a try, and I was immediately hooked. Excited by all the ideas I could actualize, I started to teach myself how to code and decided that I wanted to turn this hobby into a career path. The opportunity to join the Turing Front-End program presented its self and I jumped on it. This leap of faith allowed me to focus all my attention on expediting my learning experience. My love and understanding of code has grown exponentially. I can't wait to join a team of passionate developers and broaden my horizons as I continue to learn new technologies and apply my knowledge to new projects. What started as a hobby is becoming a lifestyle.

Book Worm is an application for book lovers who want to look for new books to read! Our goal was to learn and use TypeScript for this project. Using the New York Times best sellers API, we present the user with a list of categories. The user can click on a category and see all best sellers that fall into that category. The user can save books to their favorites, and view all the books they've favorited on the favorites page.

Rancid Taters is a movie information application that allows the user to view list of movies, select a specific movie and see information about the movie, including a youtube video trailer.

This was the first project I built using React. The goal was to create a multi page application using Router, that focuses on UI/UX, and responsiveness. End to end testing with Cypress.
