Won 🥇 First Place 🥇 at Turing School of Software & Design's Demo Comp, judged by a team of tech industry professionals.

This app was created to empower individuals to walk alone, Walk Safe brings a user’s community along on the trip. Utilizing Geolocation and SMS messaging APIs, we keep a user’s community informed of their trip status from start to finish. Should an unforeseen interruption arise, Walk Safe will immediately alert the user’s chosen contact. We’ve got your back.

This application will let a user plan a trip provide them with a curated list of beer options based on the local weather and elevation. The ActiveRecord logic behind DownDraft sorts through beer styles (depending on high temperature for the date) and abv (depending on elevation). Two external APIs, WeatherAPI and OpenTopoData, were consumed in this project along with CSV data from OpenBeerDB. This was a 5 member group project.

Sweater Weather is a fictional backend for an application to plan road trips. This app will allow users to see the current weather as well as the forecasted weather at the destination. The front-end will communicate with the back-end through an API. The goal of this project is to build and expose that API in a way that satisfies the front-end team’s requirements using service oriented architecture.

A fictitious E-Commerce application that imported a large amount of CSV data and used MVC design pattern and CRUD functionality to mimic a platform similar to Etsy. A rake task was created to import CSVs into our PostgreSQL database and business logic was performed using ActiveRecord.
