About me

As a developer, I have a large focus on people first and foremost. I consider the users of the products I work on and the team that I work with to build these products. I want to bring inclusivity and empathy into my work with teams and help foster an environment of collaboration and forward thinking as well as create products that are inclusive and ethical. As a woman I bring valuable perspective that is underrepresented in technology teams and can help approach an engineering problem with potentially a set of experiences that aren’t considered. Throughout my career, I've had a proven track record of growth. I've also grown to love working on teams to achieve a goal, and am pursuing software development to challenge myself and offer my experiences helping teams communicate and be productive. I'm interested in learning new technologies and improving the way I write code and implement solutions.

The Nomadic Nibbler is a mobile first food truck application that allows users to set a location and view food trucks in their immediate area. Users can see their location on a map, view a list of available trucks, and get detailed information about each truck. Location can be changed if you have a new destination and the map will update. This app was converted to a progressive web app (PWA) and allows the user download the application to their phone's home screen and access their recent session when offline or the internet is spotty.

Gearfull is a backpacking gear and weight tracker. This application helps people track their backpack weights so they can attempt to lighten their load and become a more lightweight backpacker. Hikers can utilize the dashboard to add "shelves" which represent a category of gear they own. After adding a shelf, they can fill their shelves with gear items, the weight, and amount of that gear item. Their dashboard will also display the weight total of all their gear as they add/remove items. Additionally, the weights of each shelf is provided so hikers can see where most of the weight is accumulating.
