This application was chosen to be featured in Turing's Demo Competition! We were given 10 days to complete this project while self-teaching and implementing TypeScript from scratch.

Planet Party is an application designed for kids to learn more about planets in our solar system. One of my roles in this project was manipulating scientific planet data fetched from the Solar System OpenData API and transforming it to display in a more kid-friendly way.

We sent a version of our deployed app out to kids to test the functionality and used their feedback to improve the user experience.

This was a paired project where we created our first application using React. Rancid Tomatillos is a spin-off of Rotten Tomatoes, which is an application where users can view rated movies from an API, search for a movie title, and click on a specific movie to view more details.

Current Climate is a niche application designed for users who are passionate about climate change and are subscribed to the New York Times. The target audience of this application is people who ask for the "sports section" or the "funnies", and are easily distracted by all the other news going on in the world.

Users are able to browse and search all climate change articles, click on a specific article to learn more, and can be redirected to that article on the New York Times website. Furthermore, users are able to favorite/unfavorite an article, and their favorites section will persist on page load.

My goals for this project were to deepen my understanding of React/React Router, use Cypress for End to End and user flow testing, and design a completely accessible UI/UX.
