About me

A USMC Veteran turned Software Developer, I am passionate about creating, learning, and progress. I believe that everything I create has an impact on my communities, and whether I'm creating apps, music, or ideas, their impact is always my responsibility. My journey to becoming a Software Developer was born out of a knack for languages and a growth mindset. I've spent the majority of my adult life studying Arabic and French, and applying that experience to Software Development was a challenge I couldn't pass up. Now, I'm looking for a place to hone my skills and learn new ones.

CuraTour is an organizational scheduling app designed for Tour Managers of traveling entertainers. It is designed to work across device types and sizes for ease of use throughout a busy day, and includes functionality while in offline modes. Each user belongs to an organization, every organization can manage multiple tours. Within each tour, events are scheduled. These events may be concerts, press events, interviews, travel days, anything relevant for the tour. Each event can have an agenda for the day - a schedule for various parts of the day (load-in, soundcheck, doors-open, meet and greet, etc). Users can also manage pertinent contacts through the app, and use the app to connect directly to their contacts. CuraTour is here to make your life easier, and to help the show go on.

My team was tasked with a building an app using a new technology. We chose to learn and utilize Vue.js. In ten days, we built a display for NASA's Astronomy Photo of the Day on which Users can view today's photo by default and click through or navigate to and from past photos by entering in a date.

Given a list of API's and one week of work time, I was tasked with building a React app from the Create React App Template. I chose to follow my heart to one of my favorite shows and build A Breaking Bad and Better Call Saul trivia game! Users can guess the author of ten random quotes from the show. When they're done, they can see how they scored! The main focus of this project was to demonstrate proficiency in React.Js and End-To-End Testing using Cypress. Those included type-checking and routing with the fundamentals of frontend development such as accessibility and responsive design.

Radioactive Toothbrushes is an app that provides the details on all your favorite movies. The user can scroll through a list of movies, select one, and check out all the info they want. It looks great on your phone too! This project mainly served as an opportunity to learn and employee React.Js with its tools like Router and PropTypes, and End-To-End Testing using Cypress.
