About me

I've always gotten excited about how systems are built, so I got good at demystifying, building, and rearranging them. At first I just wanted to build a megazord of music gear and laptops - but I became a maker who is as passionate about process as he is about product.

I've always enjoyed working on a different sets of products and I am looking for a full-time software engineer position and a team I can learn and grow with.

Theorem is a collection of e-commerce apps for legal technology. I started working with Theorem LTS in March 2021 and within weeks developed end-to-end features like a Product Use Case Knowledge Base, a system for sending Requests For Proposal, direcct from law firms to vendors and integrating [Algolia](https://www.algolia.com/doc/) as our main search engine. I also was able to adjust the subscription model in ways that decreased user friction while increasing revenue.

Feral Suits is a band I play in. Our website is an exploration in rendering components with Schema Markup based on collections of data (events, music, lyrics).

Eventually this site will use React Admin and GraphQL as a content management system.

We wanted this site to do three things:
  1. Provide a landing page where all our important links (social, music, etc) would be in one place with a focused announcement
  2. Display our discography
  3. Show upcoming events

Roasted Tomahtoes is a movie review app. The user can log-in, read about movies, watch movie trailers, rate movies the user loved or hated, and search by a variety of criteria. We implemented features including search, favorites, ratings, and log-in. The app uses API to save and update all data. The project includes asynchronous testing suites using React and Jest libraries.

My areas of focus: Creating dynamic API calls and implementing features which can permanently or temporarily affect the state of the element (favorite icons and star ratings) as well as the search bar functionality. We also got altered and deployed our own micro-service in express to keep track of user favorites and comments.
