About me

Hello world! I am a Back-End Engineer with an extensive background in sales, proposal writing, and customer-driven environments like the restaurant industry. I began my journey in programming when I discovered that the most successful developers and tech companies are bold, customer-driven, and always seeking to understand and improve, which really fits the type of environment that I thrive in. Additionally, I am very passionate about music, food, sports, and environmental health and sustainability, and I hope that a career in programming will open many paths and opportunities for me to contribute towards my passions and goals.

One part crowdsourced songwriting, one part rap battle, Cappua is a monthly hip hop music competition app in which users compete to get their verse included in the given month's featured track. Users upload their verse for a month's track and vote on their favorite uploaded verses as they vie for their place on Olympus, the Cappua Hall of Fame.

This project part of a Service-Oriented Architecture (SOA) application that provides users with flight and weather information based on search parameters that the user provides. The GTFO-FE serves as the user facing part of the application that a user can interact with. A user provides information through a form and is returned flight and weather information. The front end aplpication makes a call to the backend application, which in turn calls the Weather and Flight APIs and combines the data from both APIs into one JSON package to send to the front end. The GTFO-BE serves as an intermediary from the GTFO-FE repo and the Weather-API and Flight-API repos. This service collects data from both the Weather and Flight APIs and compiles the data into one service that the front end can call.
