About me

I'm a lifelong learner with a passion for people. I love being in an environment where everyone is collaborative and working towards something bigger. I've always been interested in computers, building my first one when I was 16. These passions have led me to Software Development and learning React, JavaScript, TypeScript, Redux, CSS3, and HTML5. Game Sleuth is the Mod 3 Front End group stretch project. We were tasked with creating a React app and incorporating a brand new technology that we had to self-research. We chose to use TypeScript and React Hooks in this project. This site allows you search all of the board games that your heart desires. It will give you a range of games to choose from based on your own criteria and will display all of the details about the board game, including the rules and how to play.

My areas of focus:
The main areas of focus for Game Sleuth:
- Use TypeScript and React hooks for the first time
- Use an Api that a user can interact with
- Work with a group virtually and efficiently use the git workflow and GitHub project boards

Tools Used

  • React

Rancid Tomatillos is the first of the Mod 3 Front End program at Turing. It was a paired project that was using React for the first time. We needed to use a REST Api and have user interaction with the site. It allows a user to search movies and find more details about the movies that they're interested in.

My areas of focus:
- Learning the basics of React
- Increasing familiarity with REST Apis
- Using asynchronous testing
