About me

I am a software engineer looking to utilize my skills and passion for the betterment of my community. A website is the first point of contact for a potential client and creating comfortable interface where users will return is imperative. I have been working with Timberline Inc., a small construction company to develop and build an online presence. Having been in the construction industry for over 25 years, it is time to evolve the way Timberline Inc. reaches their community.

From the first steps of the process, I have helped Timberline Inc. move from no web presence whatsoever to well on their way! I look forward to continued partnership with them and mutual growth.

Tools Used

  • Vue.js

Nasa Final is a solo project that was to be completed in under 48 hours. As a timed code challenge, the stack was also relitavely new. The point of this project is to build an application that consumes Nasa's photo of the day API. The tech involved in this project included Vue.js, eslint and SCSS. I really enjoyed this project as I love learning and implementing new technologies. The focal points on this application are Nasa's photo of the day API, implenenting a new framework and completion within a strict timeline. There is a new photo posted every day with a wonderful description of the image. In order to pull this all together learing Vue.js and it's implementation were put into overdrive. This is a simple application that serves it's purpose, has an effective UI and enables users to easily find this deployed application to learn something new about space!

Tools Used

  • React
  • Redux

This is a group project with the emphasis on learning Redux. It was built using React and tested in Jest and Enzyme. The fetch is from the Movie Database. We incorperated React Router as well as some login functionality with user verification on the back end. My area of focus here was learning Redux. There is a lot of syntax and setup associated with Redux and this is the first project where it was fully integrated. It was a fun challenge to learn and implement something new on this project. I am looking forward to refining my skills using Redux in particular and continuing to grow my knowledge base in React as well!
