About me

I graduated from UNC Greensboro in 2018 with a major in Environmental Studies, where I developed a passion for solving complex problems that affect people and the planet. However, I soon realized that I could make an even greater impact by leveraging technology to address these issues.

In 2023, I will be graduating from the Turing School of Software and Design, where I have been able to turn my passion for problem-solving into a career in software development. The more I learn about the industry, the more excited I become about the possibilities of using technology to make a positive impact in people's everyday lives.

Although my professional background is primarily in customer service, I am confident that my passion for technology and my desire to help people will make me a valuable asset to any team. I thrive in environments where I can collaborate with passionate teams, set clear goals, and communicate regularly to ensure we are working towards our objectives. I believe that by working together, we can build innovative solutions that address real-world challenges and create positive change in the world.

This responsive application allows users to view a list of movies, and get details about each individual movie. Users can also search through movies by title. The biggest challenge we faced on this project was testing with Cypress. In order to test our application, we created mock data in a fixture and intercepted all API calls. We had the biggest issue with timing- sometimes our calls would stub correctly, but other times the fetch requests would still go through. We managed to fix this by implementing aliases and "wait" in our Cypress tests.
