Former administrative professional with over 10 years experience in higher education and healthcare services. With the skills I developed working in customer service, and my natural desire to want to help others, I'm finding joy in the team aspect of software development. Eventually I hope to take everything I've learned into a position with a company that takes pride in the team, promotes collaboration, and uses this to turn out a product that ultimately makes people's lives better.
During my downtime from coding projects, I find solace in the tranquility of the mountains, particularly through trail running, immersing myself in a good book, and going out to the movies.

Backcountry Bookings is your ultimate destination for all your camping needs. This website is a comprehensive conglomerate of campsite information from around the country, designed to provide campers with an easy-to-navigate and reliable platform for finding the perfect campsite for their outdoor adventures. Users will be able to search for campsites available within National Parks by their preferred state, current location, or by the campsite name. A user will be able to select a particular campsite to view more details including links to book their site or view the directions from their current location. After a user has had a chance to enjoy their campsite visit, they will be able to leave detailed reviews on the campsite with the ability to specify the specific camp reservation site. Users will also be able to upload their own image to their campsite review.

Lunch and Learn is a Rails API only application built upon the requirements of a fictional frontend to both consume external and expose internal API endpoints. The app will allow users to search for recipes by country, favorite recipes, and learn more about a particular country. This backend service will expose several endpoints for the frontend team to use including getting recipes and learning resources for a particular country, creating users, and also creating and tracking a user's favorite recipes.

StreamLined is an media tracking tool that enables users to organize their movie and TV show watching activity. Upon signing up for the application, users access a user-friendly dashboard with three default lists to categorize their media: 'Currently Watching,' 'Want to Watch,' and 'Watched.' The intuitive interface allows users to search for their desired media titles, view essential details, and save them to the appropriate list effortlessly.
