About me

My experience of a career path has so far been meandering and non-linear—I wouldn't have asked for it any other way.

I grew up in a family of entrepreneurs. Since a very young age, I was raised to believe in hard work, passion as a way of life, and finding a solution to every problem. These intrinsic values guided me through graduating college at 20 years old with a 4.0, two professional roles with non-profits before age 22, and multiple additional pursuits including freelance photography, event planning, and talent management.

I feel the conjunction of my intrinsic values with my vibrant professional experience has helped me to develop skills that I am proud to bring to every table. These skills include creative and dedicated problem-solving, agile workflow, detailed organization, interpersonal communication and empathy, project management, and the ability to learn voraciously.

Near the end of 2022, I passionately pursued a change of direction in my career path. In June of 2023 I proudly graduated with my certificate in Backend Engineering from the Turing School of Software and Design.

I am a passionate problem-solver with skills in programming, TDD, Object Oriented coding principles, developer empathy, and Ruby on Rails. I can't wait to bring these skills to my next job as a software developer.

I'd love to connect with you! Please email me at torienyart@gmail.com
