After working in Customer Service for over 12 years and Healthcare for over 9 years I decided to follow my passions in tech and become a software developer. I've been working on coding projects since 2020 starting with C++ and moving my way into back end development with a focus on TDD with Ruby on Rails and API creation/consumption. I love to binge video games in my off time so I feel incredibly fulfilled with problem solving which makes coding such a stimulating career. I constantly strive to improve my skills and knowledge. Bookmarked is a digital book-swapping platform, allowing users to add and lend out their personal library, browse the other books currently in circulation, and bookmark titles of interest. It was designed and built by a team of both front and back-end students from the Turing School of Software and Design using React, Ruby on Rails, and GraphQL as our Capstone Project.
Lead Back End with building a database that enables a digital Lending Library where you can bookmark your friends’ ‘Bookshelf’ to keep track of what books they own and are available/unavailable for lending.
- Consumed, aggregated, and serialized data from an external API and exposed them to the front end through GraphQL.
- Developed and implemented CRUD functionality for multiple models and their relationships.

Built an application that provides trip planning and navigation assistance that includes weather data for a stop. As Project Lead I oversaw both front and back end, along with the README documentation on end points.
- Applied conventional code according to a service oriented architecture design patterns.
- Consumed, aggregated, and serialized data from two external APIs and exposed them to the front end through RESTful routes
