About me
Passionate and dedicated front-end engineer with a hunger to solve challenging/complex problems. Until my transition into tech, I worked in hospitality for ten years. During that time, I found any way I could to optimize my processes. Within a management role, I developed systems for inventory ordering and stock management that maintained peak freshness and highest possible quality while never exceeding a target cost threshold. Within my role as beer sales director, I reinvented the program to match products in our portfolio to clients' needs and increased our sales footprint two hundred fifty percent. I am excited to bring these skills, as well as a new array of tech skills (React, Cypress, Node.js/Express, Knex/PostgreSQL, GraphQL) to new work in the tech sphere, and will always strive for the answer to the problems our development team tries to solve.

An application using React, CSS, Cypress, Node.js/Express, and postgreSQL/Knex to create an application that takes users down memory lane. A user can click one of sic decade boxes in the homepage to see ten embedded Spotify elements for one hit wonders of that decade. A user can play the song, click a button that takes them to the artist's Spotify bio page, or click another button which shows more info about the song and what happened to the artist later in life.
In addition, a user can choose a drop down select of moods (upbeat, funky, etc.) to filter the songs of each decade by the selected mood.
