About me
I've always been interested in tech and started my career working in systems administration, then working with data and reporting in Microsoft Excel, and finally moving to databases and code as the next logical step! I am excited to be on this next stage of my journey and am looking forward to being in an industry where there are always new things to continually learn.

An app designed, developed, and deployed by a full-stack team of back-end and front-end developers. This app is designed with accessibility in mind, fully navigable via keyboard tabbing with a responsive display for mobile, tablet, or desktop viewing. The back-end provided API endpoints via GraphQL to expose info from our database with the use of API key authorization. Our team used GitHub projects to track features, had daily morning stand ups, and used Slack to maintain constant communication between FE and BE throughout the duration of the project.

A Media Recommendation App Worked on a team of six to design, develop, and deploy The List web app. The back-end API exposes multiple RESTful endpoints for CRUD functionality and the front-end uses those endpoints along with external APIs to track and store media recommendations for yourself or your friends. Used GitHub projects to track progress, held daily stand ups, and kept constant communication between FE and BE. Web app is hosted on heroku and is functional, using google Oauth to log in/sign up.

This project is deployed to heroku, includes API calls, and a many-to-many relational database seeded with info from a CSV. Currently at 100% test coverage and testing for edge cases such as incomplete information or invalid data types on forms. The first half of this project was done with a group of three other individuals using GitHub’s project board to track progress and Slack for communication. Current functionality implements enums statuses that can enable or disable a merchant through the web interface as well as views that display return values from database queries reaching through multiple tables.
