About me

I am a problem solver with experience in customer support, operations, and product management. After working closely with software engineers as a technical product manager, I became curious about how data is transmitted on the web and how web applications are built. Pursuing this curiosity, I decided to act on a long-term goal of studying software and have found I really enjoy the creative aspect of implementing technical solutions.

I'm excited about combining my previous experience with the skills I've developed at Turing to help make the world a better and more enjoyable place.

PlanIt is a web application that encourages users to conserve water by taking a 5 minute shower each day. It features a timer and logs shower times, returning averages over 7 and 30 days. It also allows users to track their water and plastic consumption habits, and compare their use to national averages.

Ruby on Rails API project using a service-oriented architecture to expose endpoints for weather data, images, and travel information.

  • Consumes data from 3 different public APIs (MapQuest, Open Weather, Pexels) so that a front end could send requests to collect information about the current weather and travel destinations.

  • Exposes an endpoint that creates users with unique API keys, allowing authenticated users to access other endpoints.
