About me
Empathy is my superpower and I’m passionate about helping others. While I was working in customer service at a major New York City hospital, I took a course in web development to learn HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and jQuery. It was a positive learning experience and it opened my eyes to pursuing a career as a software engineer. Building a software application reminds me of my love for solving math problems and crossword puzzles. I enjoy the challenge and continuous opportunities to learn something new every day as a developer. I hope to become a role model for other women that look like me through various community engagements.
When I'm not coding, I like spending time with my family and traveling.

Recip-Eco is an eco-conscious recipe application. Our users can search for a recipe based on the ingredients they have on hand to prevent food waste. Recipes can further be filtered by health and diet labels making the user experience extremely customizable to the user's preferences.
My group and I learned TypeScript on our own outside of the Turing curriculum. We implemented TypeScript into a React application and also utilized React Hooks. The user flows were thoroughly tested via End 2 End (E2E) testing with Cypress for happy paths and network request failures.
