About me

The thing I’ve enjoyed most in my professional life is creating something that people interact with. I know that I want to bring this drive for creating something that people can engage with to my career. Software development is the ideal avenue to pursue this goal. Now I'm a successful back-end software developer who brings passion and enthusiasm to my pursuits. I'm channeling this focus into my coding projects, and learning new technologies. I'm excited to continue to grow as a developer by pursuing improvement with every project I work on, and finding new more efficient and effective ways to execute these objectives. At Turing School of Software and Design I've learned that I can take on high pressure deadlines when presented with new and challenging code. Through Software Development my goal is to take my creativity and tenacity and put that to work on a project where I can create something that will benefit my community.

We The People is an informative application designed to help users identify how well their representatives match their political preferences. This is achieved through comparing user's zipcodes and a ten question quiz result to ten different special interest group ratings of the representatives for that zipcode. For example if the user answers that they strongly agree with the statement; Abortion should be legalized at the federal level, and Planned Parenthood gives that representative a positive rating of 100%, their match would be 100%. By providing this information users are able to make more informed voting decisions and vote for candidates that represent them.
