About me
Software that is purposeful and can positively influence people is what drives me!
I'm an avid cyclist and savvy Backend developer who loves building and maintaining infrastructure. I aim to translate user accuracy and business needs into functional backend code. Im excited by new challenges that keep me on my toes, or maybe off them if I'm on my Specialized Stumpjumper. If you dont know what that is, let's have a coffee chat.
My philosophy in software development and in life is "one pedal at a time." I strive to help others achieve success, grow as a team, and view every problem as an opportunity to learn and grow. I believe any challenge, big or small, can be overcome.
I am seeking a great BE opportunity and would love to talk with you about how I can help your company succeed.

Solo-project designed to mimic a service-oriented architecture. I was given wireframes and a JSON contract from fictional front-end users to use as guides when exposing endpoints. Consumed 4 external APIs and exposed 6 endpoints, including one that creates/authenticates Users with API keys

Tools Used
SPINSPOT was a group project (6 members) designed to mimic a service-oriented architecture. We are consuming two external API's and exposing a news endpoint to our front end. NOTE: Front End repo is linked on the Readme
- SPINSPOT uses keywords to search a news API finding articles from multiple sources with a varying degree of bias. We then pass the article through another API that parses the article and creates a condensed summary. These summaries are then sent back to our front-end to show users how multiple sources are reporting on similar topics. This is the first project we've done where every decision was up to our team including idea conception, selecting APIs to consume, designing wireframes, and agreeing on the final deliverable application. While challenging, this was a great learning experience.
